Which entrance for Everglades National Park if I am coming from Boca Raton and want to see wildlife.?

Hello,
I need some tips on visiting the Everglades.
Driving from Boca Raton should I go to the Shark Valley entrance or the Flamingo entrance? It’s winter day light is pretty limited and we would like to see wildlife (birds, aligators, etc.)
Can you suggest places to walk from either of those entrances?
Thanks!

Without question the Florida City entrance. The most wildlife is at Anhinga Trail — the first major trail after the entrance. You cannot practically walk to it or to any of the other trails — you need a car. Flamingo is not an entrance (unless you arrive by boat).
For the best experience get there when the welcome center opens, about 7 or 8 in the am, get the maps, see the exhibits & you’ll have enough light to see all the major trails & even take the boat at Flamingo. Tip: If you have enough light, go to Anhinga again on way home — the wildlife changes from morning to afternoon.
