/ March 13, 2010You can do it with a combination of trains and buses, but it looks like renting a car might be much easier.
Tri–Rail Boca Raton to Fort Lauderdale, Amtrak train Fort Lauderdale to Lakeland, the Amtrak bus to Gainesville. Trip time 7 hours plus the Tri-rail connection.
