SubscribeI have a one year old son and live in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. I know I have a while to think about this, but I am in search of the best schools. I have heard that public schools are horrible and there is a long wait list for private. I am looking for any info that anyone may have, especially if you have kids in the downtown area. Thanks.

You don’t have to live in the city of the school to attend if you are in the magnet program.Your son can go from elementary,to middle,then high school and stay in the magnet program.I personally go to Mcfatter Tech High in Davie.I love it!But it all depends on what your son is interested in.Good luck!
