BMW S1000RR with stock swingarm beats drag car and runs a 8.75et in the 1/4 mile!

Dragbike Live was on location at the 2010 Citrus Nationals in West Palm Beach at Palm Beach International Raceway as history was made aboard the new BMW S1000RR. Jeremy Teasley riding for Brocks Performance ran an incredible 8.75 elapsed time at over 163 mph aboard a BMW S 1000 RR in Super Sport specs and thus beat a drag car too! Guys this is a stock swing arm on the bike!

It’s the class of motorcycle drag racer. Super Sports class allows some mods but retains mostly stock specs. It’s a lightly modded street motorcycle. It does not refer to 600 cc class motorcycles.

BMW told its engineers to start from the existing GSX-R 1000 K5, they did not tell their engineers to start from scratch

THE SAME YOU FUCKING DUMB SHIT!!! far from it…and i don`t fucking care what you belive!!! it means shit.. we tests bikes and the bmw was the slowest of all in 40-120mph in sixth gear..period.. the story says it all when you raise rpm`s.. you can also do this with your own bike but the cost of torque. so thats a NO GO!!! and just for the record it`s STILL a K5 how holds the record of a 1/4mile COMPLETE STOCK.. and in AMA drag supersport it`s a K8 how holds the highest trap speed

thank you!!! finna`fucking`ly!!somone that understand this..it`s a weight game it`s ALL about weight, you will gain as hell in mph.the funny part is that when we drag`ed a gsx-r 1000 k5 mod from 0-180mph it was faster then the bmw 1000rr NO BULL..we where actually not surprised!! i am 225lbs suited and the lack of low down torque and my heavy weight was not a good thing on the bmw =))but it`s a beast NO QUESTION!!!i love that they have started the war, they know alot about wars;)

The red light doesn’t mean anything. If that really is a stock bike then that means two things 1) that bike is a beast 2) that rider has mucho talent.

Quality german engineering …. BMW told their engineers to design from scratch a new liter bike and they delivered !! Lighter than a Hayabusa….more power…state of th art traction control….hard to beat combination in stock form !!

     /  January 19, 2013

yes it was redlight…but a redlight ONLY indicates that you left before the green came on…it does not in anyway make you faster. The clocks start when the bike leaves…red or green light…..so the ET/mph is accurate…

he definitely redlighted….but this kid is fucking fast, and this bike is incredibly fast! 8.75 et on a stock swingarm stock engine 1000 are you fucking kidding me? How is this even possible?
